Frank P. Paratore

Mr. Frank P. Paratore, age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the St. Luke’s Home. Born in Frankfort on February 7, 1928, Frank was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Grippe) Paratore. He was raised and educated in Frankfort. On June 20, 1953 he married the former Mary Militello with whom he has shared 61 years of love and devotion to family life. For many years, Frank worked as a Custodian for St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and later he was employed by Bossert Manufacturing. Frank was blessed with a strong will and an unwavering dedication to his family. During his leisure time, he loved to draw, sketch, take long drives, and travel. He took comfort in his canine and feline friends. A parishioner of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, Frank held deep spiritual values in his Catholic faith. Frank is survived by his wife, Mary; and his daughters and son-in-law, Gina Paratore, and Marie and James Ware, all of Utica. In his heart, he treasured the memory of his granddaughter, Amber M. Paratore, who passed away on June 16, 2014. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Gabriella Baker, Nicholas Santmyer, Michael Santmyer, Janessa Linder, Rodney Ware, and Kailani Ware; his great-grandchildren, Kayla Marie Paratore, and Alexis Rose Jodway; his sister, Tina Romano of Syracuse; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was predeceased by his brothers, Victor Paratore, Joseph Paratore, Sam Paratore, Edward Paratore, and John Paratore; and his sisters, Anna Percola, Maryann Paratore, Mary Ciruzzi, Rose Leonardi, Sara Spina, Florence DeGristina, and Fannie Bono. Gratitude is offered to the nurses and staff of the St. Luke’s Home, especially Jennifer Colon, for the outstanding devotion and care provided to Frank during his stay. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00-12:00 noon at the Eannace Funeral Home Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Frank’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Monday morning at 11:00 at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Richard Dellos. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
