Mrs. Frances N. (Greco) Benzo

UTICA - Mrs. Frances N. (Greco) Benzo, passed away on August 29, 2022 at the Sitrin Health Care Center. Frances was 103 years and eight months old. She was born in Utica on Christmas Day, December 25, 1918, to the late Cosmo and Julia (Palmisano) Greco. Frances was the widow of Pasquale H. “Pat” Benzo. They were married on October 5, 1940 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica. Surviving Frances are three children: MaryRose (Charles) Dzyban of Las Vegas, Nevada, Pasquale C. (Carol) Benzo of Utica, New York, and Robert C. (Bonnie) Benzo, also of Las Vegas, Nevada. Frances also leaves five grandchildren: Dr. Lisa Ann (Dr. David Morison) Dzyban of Bellingham, Washington, Steven M. Dzyban of Franklin, Tennessee, Michael N. (Holly) Dzyban of Tacoma, Washington, Julie A. (Michael) Burline of Schuyler, New York, and Pasquale R. Benzo of Floyd, New York; as well as four wonderful great-granddaughters: Sophia Grace Dzyban, and Hope Madeline Dzyban, both of Tacoma, Washington, Lauryn Evelyn Morison of Bellingham, Washington, and Natalie Lorine Barber of Schuyler, New York. She is additional survived by her sister, Julia Pelle, age 101, of Ashburn, Virginia; a brother, Remo Greco, age 95, of Redmond, Washington; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews from both the Benzo and Greco families. She was predeceased by her siblings, Florence Scarfo, and Dominick Greco. Her family would like to thank the nursing and professional staff at the Sitrin Health Care Center for the excellent care they gave to Frances. The family honored and commemorated her life privately. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Frances' Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life which will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at Mary, Mother of Savior Parish, Lourdes Campus, 2222 Genesee St., Utica. There will be an opportunity to great the family at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m., prior to the Mass.
