Diana J. (Morgan) Wilcox

BARNEVELD – Diana J. (Morgan) Wilcox passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Diana was born in Utica to the late Raymond H. and Margaret Ruth (Olsen) Morgan. She graduated from Utica Free Academy and furthered her studies with college-level business courses. On June 29, 1968, she married William J. “Big Bill” Wilcox, Sr. The couple shared over 50 years together in a loving and devoted union prior to William’s passing on February 11, 2020. At one time, Diana held a position at Utica National. She later took time away from the workforce to nurture and raise her “two little Einsteins.” She then returned to work, holding a position with United Cerebral Palsy in Barneveld. More recently, she served as a secretary in the Human Resources Department at MVCC, from which she retired. Above all, Diana was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She faced her husband's many health challenges with selfless grace, attending to his needs with a love that was both tender and unwavering. As a mother, she was a fantastic provider in every sense of the word, consistently putting her children's needs before her own—even when it meant indulging some of their "stupid" ideas. Her beautiful sense of humor had a special way of bringing a smile or laugh to every occasion. Whether dressing for a grand event or a simple day, she sparkled, her innate sense of style with glitter and diamonds shining through, creating her nickname ‘Diamond Di’. Diana had a wonderful zest for life and adventure. She found pure joy in riding like a “queen” on the back of Big Bill’s motorcycle, going on rides that crossed through multiple states and hundreds of miles. For several years the dynamic duo were members of the Clark Mills Marching Band, where she proudly carried the banner leading the parades. She also had a love for travel, eagerly exploring new places with her family. Never one to sit on the sidelines, she even participated in archery events right up until recent years. Her love for life extended to all creatures; she had a deep affection for animals and shared her home with many beloved cats and dogs throughout the years. Diana loved being her children's "sidekick" on many of their adventures, believing that the best part of any activity was simply being together. Diana is survived by her son, William “Little Bill” Wilcox, Jr. and Carrie Wardell; and her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bob Wilcox. She fondly remembered her brother, Raymond A. “Ray” Morgan, who preceded her on April 10, 2019. She also adored her canine grandbabies Archer, Gunner, Fletcher, and Poppy. She was additionally preceded by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Doris (Schultz) Wilcox; and sister-in-law, Ellen Cook. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Diana’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
