Demetrius Warner

UTICA - Mr. Demetrius Warner, age 38, passed away at a premature time of his life, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Utica on March 24, 1984, Demetrius was the son of Ronnie Allen, Sr. and the late Kimberly Warner. He made many friendships when he had attended Kernan Elementary School. Most recently he worked at George’s Farm Products, Inc. alongside his dad, Ronnie. Demetrius was a young man with a calm demeanor, and an outgoing personality. He was a “clown” and he was looked upon as a straightforward and stand-out guy. He also had a sense of kindness and respect toward others, and he knew how to play by the rules when necessary. He was a slick card player and was hard to beat. He was an “endless” when it came to food and would fix his plate to the limit. He was blessed to have a mom who he loved, and a dad who prayed for him and was there for him. His grandparents were influential in his life and were always hoping for the best for him. The positive influences of his family inspired acts of kindness and good works of the Lord that Demetrius carried out during his time on earth. Left to mourn his untimely passing are his father, Ronnie Allen, Sr.; his daughters, Kyashia Pearson, Demia Jackson Brown, Sarah Boykin, and A’Nadia Warner; several granddaughters, Jay’Onna Sky La’Sand, and Dre-onna Demia Denise Lawrence; maternal grandmother, Beverly Davis; sisters, Beverly “Seven” Hammett, Lisa “Slim” and Hassheim White, Melissa “Missy” Warner, Toyzette “Toy” Allen, Danielle “Boo” and Timothy Pinkey, Venessa Dingle, Laronda Allen, Renee Allen, and Jean Washington; brother, Kenneth Warner; the memory of his siblings who preceded him, Ronnie Allen Monahan and Chanel Allen. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends who shared a great connection with Demetrius. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Murl E. Warner; and paternal grandparents, Milton, Sr. and Mary Allen. The family is grateful to the Utica Police Department for their kindness during this difficult time, and the staff of the Emergency Department at MVHS at St. Elizabeth Campus. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon, February 4, 2023 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Demetrius’ Home Going service and Celebration of Life will commence at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home upon conclusion of visitation.
