Mrs. Delia O. (Jaquish) Medina

UTICA/INDIANTOWN, FL - Mrs. Delia O. (Jaquish) Medina, age 86, of Utica, currently residing in Indiantown, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Born in Herkimer, NY, on October 2, 1938, Delia was the daughter of the late Jerome and Theresa (Capuano) Jaquish. She was raised and educated in Herkimer. On November 21, 1964, at Historic Old St. John’s Church, she wed Eleuterio “Dave” Medina. The couple shared their love, companionship and hearts with one another throughout their marriage. In November of 2016, they renewed their vows at Holy Cross Church in Indiantown, Florida. It was honesty that united them in spirit to support one another throughout their 56 years together prior to Dave’s passing on January 24, 2017. During her working days, Delia held positions at various area companies including Mele Manufacturing, General Electric, UNIVAC Corporation, Par-Micro Systems, Hamilton Digital, and most recently with ConMed as an assembler. Prior to her retirement, Delia took extraordinary pride in earning her GED certificate—a noteworthy personal and academic achievement accomplished while she was still actively employed. When residing in Utica, she was a parishioner of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Delia is survived by her daughters and their loves, Melinda and Dave Goodding, Mary Bohling, Carmen DiRoberto and her special friend Deborah Rock, and William DiRoberto; grandchildren, Amanda Goodding and her daughter, Addison Goodding, Joshua Goodding, Christopher Goodding and Margot, Brittany Bohling and her fiancé Jon, Justin Adroved, Danielle DiRoberto and fiancé Jasper Everson; and a sister, Alice Waldron (the late Glenn Waldon). She cherished in her heart the memory of her siblings who preceded her, Phyllis Singer (William), Theresa Case (Charles), Jerome Jaquish, Jr., (Irma), Geraldine Randall, Norman Jaquish, George Jaquish, and Eugene Jaquish. She also leaves to cherish her memory many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; and in-laws, Gary Randall, Janice Jaquish, Kim Jaquish, Theresa Jaquish, and Marie Capuano. She was additionally predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pedro and Carmen Medina; and in-laws, Carmita Medina (Miguel), Carlita Medina (Diego), Delia Sanchez, Jerome Medina, Andres Medina, and Lydia Medina. She is further survived by her in-laws, Luis Medina, Carmen Medina, Iris Medina, Julio and Juanita Medina. Delia’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff of the ICU at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital, especially Nurse Jonathan, for the devotion and dedicated care given to Delia during her stay there. Also, a special thank you to Richie Elwell, and Jeanette DiNallo for their special friendship and care of Delia. In addition, a heartfelt thank you is extended to everyone in the Indianwood community for being a great network of friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of floral offerings, memorial contributions in Delia’s honor may be made to American Cancer Society online at www.cancer.org/donate; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Delia’s Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life which will commence on Friday May 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Historic Old St. John’s Church, 240 Bleecker St. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
