Debra Jean (Indolfi) McLoud

Mrs. Debra Jean (Indolfi) McLoud, age 62, peacefully passed away on September 23, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family who showered her with love and appreciation. Born in Utica on March 30, 1953, Debra was the daughter of the late Nancy (Cocomazzi) Indolfi who passed away on November 4, 2015. Debbie was a 1970 graduate of T.R. Proctor High School and went on to receive her hair stylist license from BOCES. Deb also earned her Medical Assistant degree in San Jose where she subsequently devoted 40 years of caring for the young and old. Her employers, co-workers, and most of all, her patients, loved Deb for her passion for life and the way she could make you laugh. In 1974, Deb ventured out to California for a vacation, but made it her second home. She had such amazing strength and courage to make such a move. It was there that she met the love of her life, Daniel McLoud. They were married for 29 years, blessed with a special bond of love that was admired by all. Her son, Nathan and daughter-in-law, Sarah gave them three beautiful grandchildren, April, Tyler, and Zachary, the joys of her life. Debra Jean is survived by her husband, Daniel; her children; and her grandchildren. Debbie will also be remembered and loved by her siblings, Mark Indolfi and his wife, Debbie, Sherry (Indolfi) Hough and her husband, Paul, and her “favorite”, sibling ‘Buddy’ Indolfi and his wife, Sharon. Deb leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she just adored, Christopher, David, Brian, Alexandra, and Jenna. Debbie was not only Nicole Hough’s aunt, but was also considered to be her “second mother”. She also got to enjoy being a Great-Aunt Debbie to Jacksen, Blake, and baby Stella. In addition, she leaves her aunt and uncle, Jean and Joe Trombetta, and aunt, Ann Cocomazzi, who will miss Deb’s weekly calls and her up-to-date gossip; and her cousins, Georgette, Robert, Michael, Christy Ann, David, Nicole, Madison, Jean Marie, and Jolene, who will miss her gift of laughter. Deb was also favored with many wonderful lifelong friends who have treasured memories of an awesome lady. Deb had loved and was loved by so many. She could make friends wherever she went, and was always giving to others, even to those she didn’t know. We will always remember her spirit that sparkled with vitality, her abundant compassion for others, her caring interest in others’ lives, her ability to listen and to talk honestly, and most of all, “her Look”. It was her unbelievable strength, positivity, and pure love she had for life that helped her through her terrible battle with cancer. So, the next time you see someone in need, please share a smile or what you can —- in honor of Debbie. Or, she just might give you “the Look”. “Love You More”. Debbie’s life will be remembered along with the celebration of her mom’s life on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. immediately upon conclusion of her mother’s visitation (2:00-4:00 pm). Rev. Abe Esper will officiate the ceremonies.
