Deborah Robinson

UTICA – Deborah Robinson, age 67, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 2, 1957, Deborah was the daughter of the late Lacey and Marie (Dykes) Robinson. Raised in the Brooklyn area, she attended local schools there. Deborah was blessed to be a mother and dedicated her life to her children. Over the years, she built a home of love, laughter, joy, faith, and prayer. In appreciation, they showered her with unconditional love and unwavering support. Her grandchildren were her most precious treasures and she thoroughly enjoyed every minute that she spent with them. No matter what mountains in her life Deborah had to climb, her priceless smile stayed on her face. Perseverance, resilience, and faith were her cornerstones, giving her strength to encourage her family. A bit of a comedian, Deborah possessed a great sense of humor. She loved singing and dancing, and all around good clean fun, particularly when it came to family gatherings. And could she cook! Her family will forever remember that sweet potato pie she perfected. In her spare time, Deborah enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and word searches, as well as other games. She could also be found watching Wheel of Fortune and the “old school Star Trek.” Deborah is survived by her eight children: Herman Robinson, Devon Robinson (Sinetta Norris-Robinson), Nitiya Robinson, Pastor Jerri Robinson, Ministers Helen Taylor (Michael Taylor), Ronnie Murphy, Travis Murphy, and John Murphy, as well as her grandchildren: Vy’Shaun Robinson, Kamara Robinson, Amari Robinson, De’Jauna Streeter, Makayla Charles, Kordell Daniel, Kalynn Wilson, Kavon Daniel, Za-Niyah Brown, Jada Williams, Christian Taylor, and Ethan Goodrich. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kaiasiah Lorraine Peak, who was born an angel on December 18, 2013, and her sisters Mary Louis Rowsen, Mary Josey, and Roslyn Dykes. Her legacy also includes her great-granddaughter, Milani Eboni Meertens, and her siblings, Arneice Taylor and Laron Evans, Patricia Robinson and Sam Conner, Annette and Alton Slaughter, Lacey Robinson Jr., Gisele Robinson, Olivia Robinson, Alicia Robinson, Michael Robinson, Guthrie (Ray) Robinson, Marie Mundshenk and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the prayers and support from the Tabernacle of Prayer Revival Center, and Hub Nation. They also wish to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff of Oneida Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Wynn Hospital, and Willows Park for the care they showed to Deborah. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Deborah’s Home Going Service and Celebration of Life will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
