Corinne (Dellaquila) Puleo

Mrs. Corinne (Dellaquila) Puleo, age 83, of Utica, passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on May 21, 1925, Corinne was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Domenico) Dellaquila. Raised and educated locally, she was a 1944 graduate of T. R. Proctor High School. On August 7, 1948 she married Joseph P. Puleo; the couple cherished their 60 years in a loving and devoted union. Corinne was employed by the Utica engraving company for five years, retiring from the work force in 1949 to develop a loving and happy relationship with her husband and children. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. Corinne is survived by her husband, Joseph P.; her daughter and son-in-law, Janice M. and Harold N. Frasier of Palm City, FL; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Erlene M. Puleo of Port St. Lucie, FL; her grandchildren, Edmund Trevisani, III of Philadelphia, Marc Trevisani stationed with the U.S. Navy, Joseph F. and DawnMarie Puleo of Deerfield, Deanna Puleo of Utica, Greg Frasier, and Brian and Georgianna Frasier and their families, all of Albany; and her great-grandchildren, Gianna and Gabriella Puleo. Corinne was proudly anticipating the birth of another Puleo great-grandchild in December. Survivors also include her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Dellaquila of Deerfield; many nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging niece Joann Carro and her family; and in-laws, Ann Costello of Clinton, Anne M. Puleo and Sally Puleo, both of Utica, and Michael and Zelba Puleo of CA. She was predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Theresa Puleo; her in-laws, Philip and Josephine Puleo, Frank and Providence Fumarola, Onofrio and Ann Puleo, Salvatore and MaryAlice Puleo, Frank Puleo, John Puleo and Connie Puleo; and her nephew, James A. Mancuso, Jr. Visitation will be held Tuesday (today) from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial donations in Corinne’s honor to St. Agnes Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Corinne’s funeral service will commence on Wednesday morning at 9:00 from the funeral home and at 10:00 at St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
