Mr. Christopher L. "Chris" Mosher

UTICA – Mr. Christopher L. “Chris” Mosher, Sr., age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the comfort and dignity of his home. Born in Utica on April 14, 1969, Christopher was the son of Carol Taylor and the late Herman Mosher. He was raised and received his early education in Dolgeville. As a teenager, he relocated with his family locally to the area where he had since resided and attended Oriskany High School. Chris shared in a devoted union with Donna L. Saunders for over 37 years, during which they created many unforgettable memories together. At one time, Chris held various positions in the construction industry. He had a unique personality and was known for getting straight to the point—no messing around. Respect was a core part of who he was. Chris loved spending time fishing and was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He especially cherished moments with his grandchildren—members of “Pa’s Club”—and those times were when he was happiest. Anyone who knew Chris will always remember his favorite phrase: “Let me explain something to you…” Chris is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol Taylor and Rick Kittle; the love of his life, Donna; children, Christopher Mosher, Jr. and fiancée Leyna Figueroa, Michael Mosher, Justin Mosher, Jason “Happy” Mosher, and Amanda Mosher; grandchildren, Tristan, and Mikenna (and their mother, Gabriella); Miah, Lillian, and Alanna (and their mother, Heidi); Anthony, and Elijah; Amelia, Jadelynn, Mason, Matthew, Lucas, and Wesley; Cameryn, and Justin (and their mother, Stephanie); and Janayah; sister, Diana Mosher; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Shelly Mosher, and Roger and Ruth Mosher; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; aunts and uncle, Mary Hebbard Stolarczyk, and Chuck and Debbie Hebbard; cousins; mother-in-law, Marianna Saunders; and in-laws, Debbie Trombetta (the late Frank “Big Frank” Trombetta), Dawn and Keith Ballard, and Mike “Mikey Mike” Saunders. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Donald J. Saunders; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Jean Hebbard; and paternal grandparents, Herman and Vera Mosher. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to family friend Tina Moore for her care, compassion, and unwavering support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Christopher’s Celebration of Life will commence at 4:00 at the funeral home.
