Mrs. Carole A. (Nobili) Rausch

N. UTICA – Mrs. Carole A. (Nobili) Rausch, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2024. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Utica on September 14, 1943, Carole was the daughter of the late Waldo E. and Jennie (Maltese) Nobili. She was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy and furthered her education by attending classes at Mohawk Valley Tech. Carole spent her life in the healthcare field, serving as a medical transcriptionist for various local hospitals and doctors, including Dr. Richard M. Cantor, MD. On February 5, 1983, Carole married Gerald “Jerry” Rausch. Throughout their 41-year union, they shared a deep love and commitment. They were always by each other’s side, creating many beautiful memories together. A dedicated and loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, Carole adored her family. She was affectionate, caring, and possessed a beautiful heart. She found joy being in the company of children, her face lighting up with a big smile whenever one was near. Carole was a good cook, but her true passion was baking. Her cakes and pastries were always the star of any event. She also enjoyed the excitement of trips to the casino with Jerry, particularly her favorite game, Keno. A devout Catholic, Carole was especially devoted to the Blessed Mother and never missed a day praying the rosary. Carole is survived by her husband, Jerry; sister, Gloria M. Durgee; Gloria’s children and Carole’s nephew and niece, Christopher Maltese, and Kim and Bob Williams; great-niece and great-nephew, Kristen Williams and her husband Christopher Wong, and Bryan Williams; great-great-nieces, Peyton, and Addison; and stepsons and their spouses, Gerald L. and Brenda Rausch, and Christopher J. and Angie Rausch. She held close the memory of her stepdaughter, Regina Light who preceded her. She further leaves her memory to her step grandchildren, Jared Rausch, Brandon Rausch, and Brianna Rausch; many additional nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; and countless special friends. She was additionally predeceased by her father-in-law, George H. Rausch; and mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Blanche (Mooth) Rausch and Eugene Nicotera. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Carole’s cousins, John Lucianatelli, Vinny Lucianatelli, Diane Vitullo, Paul Grover, and Doreen Engelhart, who made numerous trips to be with her during her illness, for their support, love, care, and concern. A special thank you as well to Carole’s family from downstate who traveled the miles to be of comfort and support. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carole’s Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life, which will commence on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Lourdes Campus, 2222 Genesee St.
