Antoinette "Toni" Napoli

Antoinette “Toni” Napoli, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the comfort of her home. Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1940, Antoinette was the daughter of Josephine M. (Assisi) and the late Attilio “Terry” T. Napoli. She attended T.R. Proctor High School. At one time, Toni was employed as a switchboard operator at Bendix Corporation. “Aunt Netti”, as she was affectionately referred to by her family, always looked forward to holiday dinners with family, where she would repeatedly say, “Everything is really good!” She was always smiling and had a kind word for everyone she met. She looked forward to the get-togethers for dinner or coffee-time with her friends, especially Joey, Ken and Flo, at the Margaret-Knamm Apartments. Her Catholic faith was important to her and she trusted in God for whatever her day may bring. “Nettie” was the best sister, friend, and confidante. She will never be forgotten, especially on her Christmas Day birthday. Antoinette is survived by her mother, Josephine; and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean M. and Thomas R. Rastani, all of Utica. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Mark and Marie Rastani of New Hartford, and Lisa and Kurt Dellers of Rome; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley and Rich Grimaldi, Jennifer Rastani, Kara Dellers, Kyle Dellers, and Kate Dellers; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Terry Napoli; and her brother, Terrence S. Napoli. The family will honor and commemorate Toni’s life at a private time. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Antoinette’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Fr. Mark Kaminski. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations in Toni’s memory may be made to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio Street, Utica, NY 13502 or online at https://stevens-swan.org in honor of Nettie’s love of animals; envelopes will also be available at the service. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
