Mr. Anthony Joseph Trimboli

NEW HARTFORD - Mr. Anthony Joseph Trimboli, age 82, went home to the Lord when he passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. Anthony was born on March 19, 1935, the son of the late Salvatore J. and Theresa (Parucci) Trimboli. He was born in Herkimer and attended their local schools. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he honorably served his country stateside from 1955-1957. On August 2, 1996 he married the former Anita M. Vaccaro with whom he recently celebrated 21 years in a union of friendship and true love. They relied upon one another for the important decisions in each other’s lives. Their dedication and sincere appreciation for one another was unmatched. They were truly a handsome couple. Tony worked as a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier for 35 years serving South Utica. He was a 50-year Gold Member of the J.F.K. Branch 375 National Association of Letter Carriers of Utica. Tony was meticulous and took great pride in his work. He was especially thoughtful and dedicated to customer service. He was recently the recipient of an award in recognition of excellence in carrying out his duties during his extensive career. Tony had a passion for motor cycles from his youth; he took pride in his Harley Davidson blue Electra Glide that carried him across the highways and byways of Central New York. He loved traveling with Anita to Cape Cod, Canada, Niagara Falls, and their memorable trip to Virginia Beach. He loved home cooking but was not averse to having a good meal at his favorite restaurants. Tony will be remembered as a private soul and a kind, gentle person. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Douglas Dailey; his granddaughter, Nicole; and his sister, Marie Cool. He also leaves his nieces, nephews, and mother-in-law, Carmella (Tauresano) Vaccaro. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Les Cool. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Sultana Razia and her staff for their dedication and respect in treating Anthony who was comfortable in their care; the incredible nurses of the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center/6th floor staff; the personnel of the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Regional Rehabilitation Center/Clark North for their patience and empathy; and the nurses, CNA’s, and aides who were of great support to Anthony and his family. The family will honor Tony's life at a private time. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anthony's funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Rosary Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Joseph Salerno with Military Honors conferred. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. Entombment will take place in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
