Angela R. "Aunge" (Marasco) Eanniello

Mrs. Angela R. “Aunge” (Marasco) Eanniello, age 83, of Utica, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on May 12, 1924, Angela was the daughter of the late Phillip and Rosina (Gigliotti) Marasco. Raised and educated in Utica, she attended St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Grammar School and was a graduate of T. R. Proctor High School. On June 3, 1950 she married Louis A. Eanniello, Sr., and they loved each other for 58 years as they built their lives around their children. Angela began her employment years as a bookkeeper working for numerous companies in the Utica area. Among the highlights of her career were positions at Western Express, Northern Express, the Utica City School District as a secretary, and lastly, her duties and responsibilities in the office of the Special Education Department. Aunge was a loving woman who received the greatest pleasure in giving to others. An organized and optimistic person, she gracefully dealt with life and the blessings and adversities she faced. A dedicated mother and family person, she was a proud soul who especially enjoyed having her family around her. She loved to reminisce, and she kept her past alive; she wished that others would remember her upon her passing. She knew that when she crossed over into her new life her rebirth would enable her to be whole again and free from the pains of this world. During her spare time, she enjoyed framing, creating collages, and collecting angels. She was a past member of the St. Ann Society and a devoted parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Aunge is survived by her devoted husband, Louis; and her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Gail E. Eanniello of Stockbridge, NY; her daughters and son-in-law, Regina and Raymond Kane of Utica, and RoseAnn Eanniello, her wonderful and faithful caretaker who provided her mom with the ability to remain at home. Always close to her heart was the memory of her sons who preceded her in death: Anthony “Toto” Eanniello, who passed away in 1995, and Louis A. Eanniello, Jr., who passed away in 2005. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cheryl; her grandchildren, Daniel, Thomas, and Alex Eanniello; Jessica, Nicholas, and Philip Eanniello; and Raymond, and John Kane; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, and Gino; her sister, Rose Palleschi of Utica; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Yetta Massa, and Polly and Cosmo Verrico; and her extended and adored family of Angela Elefante. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Albina Marasco, Joseph and Isabelle Marasco, Felix Marasco, Robert Marasco, and Ernie Marasco; her sisters, Antoinette Marasco, Anna Marasco, and Mary and Angelo “Ginger” Grasso, and her in-laws, Joseph T. Eanniello, Jennie Eanniello, Lena and Leo Foster, Frances M. Eanniello, and Peter Palleschi. Visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life which will commence on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish with Rev. Anthony P. LaFache officiating. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the service. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial donations in Angela’s honor to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc.; envelopes will be available at the service. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
