Angela M. (Feralo) Corasanti

Mrs. Angela M. (Feralo) Corasanti, age 84, formerly of Utica, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Angela was born in Utica on September 3, 1928, the daughter of the late Peter P. and Theresa (Rose) Feralo. She was raised and educated locally, a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On October 23, 1948 she married Joseph G. Corasanti who passed away on October 1, 2001. Throughout their union of almost 53 years, Angela and Joseph were blessed with a joyous relationship characterized by their mutual love and their abiding commitment to one another. Angela worked at her rewarding vocation as a Teacher’s Aide at Roosevelt Elementary School from 1968-1981. At home, her life’s devotion revolved around the love and concern she held for her husband, children, and grandchildren, and she was most content when in the company of her beloved family. Along with her husband, Angela enjoyed being active in events and activities associated with the Utica City School District where she was Past President of the P.T.A. and a recipient of life membership. At one time she was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica. In 1998, Angela and her husband relocated to the Buffalo area to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Angela is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. James G. and Laureen Corasanti, and Michael A. and Cheryl Corasanti, all of Getzville, NY.; and her grandchildren, Kathryn Corasanti and fiancé Chad Witherell of Williamsville, Matthew Corasanti of Maryland, Anthony Corasanti of Getzville, Andrea Corasanti, and Nicholas Corasanti, both of Getzville, NY. She also leaves her former daughter-in-law, Margaret “Peggy”; in-laws including Eugene R. and Connie (Nole) Corasanti of New Hartford, and Cleo Feralo of Utica; her nieces, nephews, including Terri Ann (Feralo) Wameling, Francine Feralo, Peter Feralo, Joseph and Michelle (Cohen) Corasanti, and David Corasanti; great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter G. Feralo. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Angela’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday morning at 9:00 from the funeral home and at 10:00 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Cesta. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
