Adam Joseph Herubin

DEERFIELD - Adam Joseph Herubin, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2024, due to complications from pneumonia. Born in Phoenix, AZ on July 1, 1986, Adam was the son of Joseph and Linda (Gagliano) Herubin. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School/Class of 2004 and furthered his educational studies at Mohawk Valley Community College. Adam enjoyed working in the restaurant business since his high school days. For the last 10 years he held a Chef’s and Kitchen management position at Charlie’s Pizza, currently It’s a Utica Thing, something he took immense pride in. Adam created a positive atmosphere and enjoyable experience for staff and patrons through his leadership, hard work, and dedication, along with forming close friendships with his work family. Adam found calmness in meditation and his quiet time. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and hardwood floors. Adam loved the outdoors, taking pleasure in hiking, camping, boating, and fishing especially the fishing trips he and his father took every year to the St. Lawrence River. Everyone who met Adam could immediately see that he was a sensitive and kindhearted man with a warm smile. Adam will be sadly missed by his parents, Joseph and Linda and all those who loved him. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles, Maryrose Abdoo, Joseph C. Jr. and Melissa Gagliano; Carolyn and John Diehl, Lorrie Aschmann, and Robert and Debra Herubin; cousins, Joseph Gagliano, III and Emma, Laura Gagliano and her fiancée Gordan, Michael Gagliano; Tracey Diehl and Jules, Kristin Diehl, Julianne Diehl and her fiancée Bob; Eric and Rebecca Aschmann, Daniel and Alisa Aschmann, Jennifer Aschmann, Andrea Herubin and Dina Marrocco, and Robert and Tanya Herubin; godchild, Hunter Herubin; and stepson, Vincent Burdick, along with several other cousins and good friends. Adam was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Rose Marie (Synacek) Herubin; and maternal grandparents, Joseph C. Sr., and Gertrude M. “Gert” (Alteri) Gagliano. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Adam’s funeral service will commence on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church, 422 Tilden Ave., where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
