Mrs. Mary " Marie" (Moses) Capirci

WHITESBORO - Mrs. Mary “Marie” (Moses) Capirci, age 82, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on January 29, 1936, Marie was the daughter of the late Kalil and Linda (Montrone) Moses. She was raised and educated locally. At one time she was married to Francesco “Ciccio” Capirci and from that union came the blessing of two sons. During her working years, Marie was employed by the Joseph & Feiss Company as a seamstress for over 25 years, the position from which she retired. Marie was constant in her dedication and devotion to the Capirci family, and to all she knew, she bestowed a loving heart. Her loved ones will look back at the many family gatherings which she adored and made special. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Marie is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Lynn Capirci with whom she shared a home, and Stephen Capirci. Marie held close to her heart the memory of her infant daughter Lucinda Capirci who passed away in February of 1956. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Kristy and Jon McIlwain, Amanda and Denis Kajtazovic, Nicole “Frankie” Capirci; Levon, Kimberly, Jennifer, Joshua, Tasheem, and Diamond, and their mother Donna Capirci; great-grandchildren, Austin, Gavin, Adelynn, and Edin; her sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and William Flagg; and her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sharon Moses. She also leaves nieces and nephews, with special mention of Mike and Ann Flagg; Linda and Tim Morey, Denise and John Poteat, William Flagg, Lori and John Mazza, Joe Moses Jr.; Peter Manzo, Ret. USMC/Gy. Sgt. Steven and Margaret Manzo; Lucinda and Ret. USMC/Sgt. Maj. Emmett Salas, Mark Capirci, Melissa and Fabian Perez, Diana Capirci; Joseph Coco, Danielle and Steven Brucker, Christopher Coco and Tara Collins; in-laws, Paula Nasto who she loved as a daughter, Rose and Biagio Patane, Ret. USMC/Mgy. Sgt. Franco and Diane Capirci; a special godson Donald Durso, Jr.; and her loving pets, “Prince” and “Brandy”. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Madeline “Madge” and Michael Toti; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucia and Angelo Capirci. The family is grateful for the love and compassionate care provided by Marie’s daughter-in-law Lynn Capirci which gave her great comfort. The family will honor and commemorate Marie’s life in a private gathering. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marie's funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Monday afternoon at 1:00 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Mark Kaminski. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
